Charming architecture. This is one of those places I want to come back to for a week-end trip. Really that is all you need to explore the whole town, but it is so cozy and unique. Eat at Zunzi's south african food. I hear the meat is to die for, so I went for the veggies.

The Vineyard
For two days we stayed with Corban's friend on this Vineyard. It was 5 min from Monticello. We rode our bikes, ate french crepes, and drank wine and port. Can somebody pinch me?

Love that Amy Jones. It was wonderful to hang out for an evening/night and explore Capitol Hill, her neighborhood. Obama lives 2 blocks from her so we had fun taking photos in front of his places with a "Vote for OBAMA" sign humbly sitting in the window.

VA Beach
Watch out for these guys! Though I have to admit they aren't nearly as scary as the creatures at the crack house hotel we booked a night at (bullet holes in the windows and ladies on the corner)! Amy Jones' mom was our saviour. We stayed the night with her instead (curtained windows and no corners.)

NYC Fashion Alert!
Visited Lexi and Brian in NYC for two days off. Lex and I tucked into a hole-in-the-wall diner for breakfast and I was surprised to find what will be my inspiration for the fall. The quilted face dress. The details are stunning. Just look deeply into his puffy quilted eyes.

W. Virginia
We ventured off the beaten path and found a bed and breakfast where we were the only guest. The home's "Christmas in June" theme gave us a warm and festive welcome. It was filled with fun trinkets; this one being my favorite. There is something very contrary to the holiday spirit about a snow man holding another snowman's head over an open votive flame. Is anybody with me on that?
