Next Stop: Dallas
The ribbon cutting at our friends and family party! L-R: Pat+ Jamin (who I will be working with), Dana (my boss at the Nasher), Me (choppin the ribbon), Ariel (who I will be working with, and who I am living with while in town), Crista (head of Sales at Iittala who is training us.)I arrived in Dallas and the next day we went straight to work! In one week we put up a store, trained the staff and opened our doors the day after Thanksgiving! I am here for 6 weeks managing a temporary holiday store which is a division of the Nasher Sculpture Center Store. The store is a design company from Finland called Iittala. I am thankful to be in Dallas for the holidays with family and friends, and also to be working with the Nasher again. Life is good. I only get Thanksgiving and Christmas Day off, so if you are in Dallas and want to hang out- stop by North Park Center and see me at Iittala! Happy Holidays!

NYC is Calling

NYC in the fall. There is no where else I would rather be.
I headed to NYC to see a dear friend I hadn't seen in 10 years. He's been battling cancer for the past 4 years and is one of the bravest and strongest people I know. It was really encouraging to be around him and catch his spirit and hunger for life.

NOVEMBER 4th!
Laura and I walk down the street to get our VOTE on! What an exciting and historical day! After Obama was named the winner, our neighborhood erupted with fireworks and people joyously shouting and dancing in the streets. It was great!

Home Sweet Home
It feels so good to be home, but it is not without it's own set of problems. Mainly, squirrels eating and uprooting my plants. I sent out a strong message (and sprinkled the rims of my pots with cayenne pepper). I think they got the message.

DC and US
A new restaurant we went to check out called "Founding Farmers". Everything is organic and grown by local farmers. We introduced Tae to the American classic Chicken Pot Pie!

"Honey, where are you?!" I passed this guy on the street and had to take a photo!
Simon at a cool restaurant we went to where you watch the cooks prepare your food (in the background) and then they bring it to your table on the skillets and pans! It's awesome! Traditional polish dumplings and savories!
Poland
Concept Store located in an old bathhouse. The Deisel Brand section had a swimming pool in it!
This is how they buy sunflower seeds! On the sunflower! So cool, and yummy!
A bar we went to had a huge spider crawling up the side of the wall! Eeeek!

Off to Poland
I was whisked away to Poland via Wizz Air! Upon our descent a gentleman got up to use the restroom located near where I was seated. The stewardess told him he would have to take a seat and buckle up since we were landing. I thought to myself, "Can't a guy take a wizz on Wizz Air?"
